Wendy’s Breakfast

Wendy’s Breakfast

Wendy’s Breakfast Baconator is one of the most intriguing breakfast sandwiches you can purchase. If you don’t want to wait at the drive-through, you can duplicate this bacon-lovers sandwich at home.

Mornings may become very hectic, and you can’t always prepare a nice, fresh breakfast at home. That’s when you are most likely to find yourself in the drive-thru line at the neighborhood fast-food establishment. And if you are a bacon fan (and frankly, who isn’t?), you can’t do much better for a morning meal on the run than Wendy’s Breakfast Baconator.

Wendys breakfast

The Breakfast Baconator is a towering culinary feat of smoky bacon strips, a hefty sausage patty, melted American cheese, freshly cooked egg, topped with a dab of Hollandaise sauce, and all held together by a huge, toasted brioche bread. Truly a masterpiece when it comes to breakfast sandwiches.

There’s only one minor hitch. When the weekend rolls around, and you had a late night, waking up early is just about the last thing you want to do. That is a bummer because Wendy’s stops offering the Breakfast Baconator at 10:30. But don’t worry, we got you covered. Try this handmade version, that, dare we say, could even be better than the original.

Building a Better Breakfast Baconator

Getting the tiny things perfect counts most, and for this dish, it all begins with the bun. Sure, you could use a Kaiser roll or a standard hamburger roll if you must, but it needs to be a toast buttered brioche bread for the whole experience. Butter is the key here. Not does a coating of butter assist to crisp up the bread, it also stops the buns from getting soggy.

Once you the buns are in the toaster, it’s time to start frying the bacon and sausage patties. Heat a stovetop griddle pan if you have one, or the largest thick-bottom saute pan in your kitchen. When the frying surface is excellent and hot, lay the sausage patty and bacon on it. Once you observe liquids accumulating on the top of the sausage patty, flip it over and turn the bacon. Crack the egg onto the frying surface. For the greatest results, consider using an egg ring. After roughly two minutes, the bottom of the eggs should set. Remove the egg from the ring and flip it. Reduce the heat to low, then lay a piece of American cheese atop the sausage patty and egg. Continue to boil until everything cooks through, and the cheese melts
